In most cases, it is recommended that student organizations use personal or rental vehicles for club and organization travel. Use of University vehicles is limited to “official university business or officially sanctioned student activity.”

If you are unsure whether your club’s travel plans meet the above criteria, you should check with your advisor.

NOTE: IF YOUR CLUB’S TRAVEL IS NOT SPONSORED BY THE UNIVERSITY, THE UNIVERSITY INSURANCE POLICY AND GUIDELINES FOR RENTALS OR PERSONAL VEHICLE USAGE WILL NOT APPLY TO YOU AND YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO USE THE NAME OF THE UNIVERSITY WHEN RENTING A VEHICLE.
